Dortmund goalkeeper takes out teammate with errant punt
Table of Contents
Borussia Dortmund midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan was almost knocked unconscious after getting hit on the back of his head with a clearance by his own goalkeeper.
As the score remained goalless during Saturday's clash against Bayern Munich, Dortmund goalkeeper Roman Weidenfeller collected the ball and went to punt the ball down field.
However, Weidenfeller didn't notice that Mkhitaryan hadn't quite had enough time to run away before he inadvertently blasted a ball directly off his teammate's head.
Luckily though, aside from the initial pain, Mkhitaryan was fine and was able to continue playing.
