A fan-made Twitter account of Steven Gerrard has noted that a film about Germany's World Cup success includes one of his quotes believing him to be the real Liverpool icon.
DFB, the German football association, have commissioned a documentary based on Germany's triumphant World Cup campaign in Brazil in July.
Titled Die Mannschaft, the trailer opens from a quote from Gerrard.
Problem being, Gerrard DOES NOT have Twitter and it was simply a fan account commenting on the German victory on the microblogging site.
