DC Comics is reportedly in a legal dispute with Spanish club Valencia over the team's latest variation of their logo that looks very similar to that associated with the Batman logo.

According to Spanish newspaper Plaza Deportiva, the US-based comic book giant has filed a lawsuit with the European Union's trademark registration office to stop the team from using the logo.

The company claims that Valencia's latest variation on their logo, which shows the bat's wings upwardly outstretched, infringes on their copyright for Batman's emblem.

As much as the Valencia logo does resemble Batman's emblem, the image of a bat has been used by Spanish club in their logo since 1919 or 20 years before the Batman comics were founded.
