Diego Costa scored a superb solo effort to set Chelsea on their way to a 2-0 victory over Fenerbahçe in a 45-minute Istanbul friendly on Friday.
The Blues faced both Fenerbahçe and Beşiktaş in two 45-minute matches at the Turkish charity tournament in aid of the Soma mining disaster.
Chelsea boss José Mourinho named a strong starting XI for the opening game against Fenerbahçe, with the likes of André Schürrle, Oscar, and Ramires all making their first appearances of pre-season following their World Cup exploits.
The Premier League outfit opened the scoring in the 24th minute with an individual goal of the highest quality.
Picking up the ball midway in Fenerbahçe's half, Costa produced a marvellous piece of skill to weave in and out of two challenges before dispatching a cool, side-footed finish past Volkan Demirel.
It was the Spain international's second goal of pre-season, after the £32 million-signing from Atlético Madrid also netted in the 2-1 win over Olimpija Ljubljana on his debut last month.
Branislav Ivanović then rounded off the win six minutes later when he reacted quickest to Schürrle's parried free-kick.
However, Chelsea then fell 1-0 to Beşiktaş, who therefore won the event following their 1-0 triumph over Fenerbahçe in the tournament's first contest.
