Striker Sergio Agüero believes that Germany will be under pressure as the favourites to win the World Cup final against his Argentina side.
With the Germans having swept aside hosts Brazil 7-1 in the semi-finals, they are widely viewed as the team to beat in the Estádio Maracanã on Sunday.
However, Agüero, whose side are 5/4 with bet365 to lift the World Cup, told reporters: "Germany were always the favourites, along with Brazil, to win the World Cup.
"They continue to be so now. We need to play our own game and it suits us that all the pressure is on them.
"It is clear that Argentina always go out to win, but sometimes during the game you have to be cautious.
"We are all aware of what the objective is and we will leave everything on the field to achieve it."
Argentina and West Germany met in the 1986 and 1990 World Cup finals, with La Albiceleste winning the first meeting 3-2, before an Andreas Brehme penalty secured a 1-0 revenge victory for the Germans four years later.
