Chelsea manager José Mourinho has refused to rule out a move for ex-Arsenal skipper Cesc Fàbregas, admitting he is looking at the Spaniard's situation at Barcelona.
The Catalan giants are widely reported to be ready to let Fàbregas leave after three years at the Camp Nou, as he is not believed to be in the plans of new boss Luis Enrique.
Further reports have suggested that former club Arsenal have decided not to activate a clause giving them first refusal on the 27-year-old.
The likes of Chelsea, Manchester City, and Manchester United are all being suggested as potential suitors for Fàbregas.
Now Mourinho has hinted that he might be interested in signing the Spain international this summer.
Speaking at a Yahoo event in Belgium, Mourinho said: "We have some interest. I have interest in analysing the situation.
"I think it looks like he's really interested in leaving Barcelona, and is very, very interested in coming back to England.
"There is a process where he wants to leave, he wants to come to England because it's the country where he wants to be, where he prefers to play."
But Mourinho is adamant that Fàbregas' future will not be resolved before of the World Cup, which starts next week.
The Portuguese added: "Whether he is going to sign for Chelsea or for another club, that is not a a subject to be discussed today, tomorrow or before the World Cup."
