Germany and Borussia Dortmund midfielder Kevin Großkreutz has again found himself in hot water after he was caught urinating in the lobby of a hotel.

The incident occurred just hours after his side had lost to Bayern Munich 2-0 in the DFB-Pokal final on May 17.

The 25-year-old was reportedly urinated against a pillar inside the historic Hotel Berlin after a night of partying at the city's Kraftwerk night club.

He was then involved in a rowdy dispute with a hotel guest and police were called, but the player had gone by the time officers had arrived.

Großkreutz, who has been named in Germany's 23-man squad for the World Cup in Brazil, has since apologised for the incident.

He was quoted as saying by Bild: "I was totally frustrated after the game. We had planned so much and really wanted to win the trophy.

"I had a blackout. I am sorry. It won't happen again."

It is the second time in less than the space of a month that Großkreutz has caused a stir for off-the-field reasons.

Earlier in May, he was accused of throwing a spicy kebab into the face of a Köln fan during a night out with Dortmund players.
