Queens Park Rangers manager Harry Redknapp has revealed he spends fortunes on feeding the birds that visit his garden every morning.
Despite having to get up extra early to commute 200 miles a day from his home in Dorset to QPR's Harlington training complex, the former Portsmouth manager still makes time for his hobby.
Redknapp told the Daily Mail: "I'm a compulsive bird feeder. You'll see me out in the dead of winter at 5 am, filling up our feeders and tables."
Aside from the time commitment he makes to his winged friends, the 66-year-old also sacrifices quite a bit of money.
He added: "We have about 30 and I can easily spend 80 quid on bird food a fortnight in the pet shop.
"I won't leave for work until I've fed them - I hate to think of them going hungry. Bit mad, innit?"
