PSV Eindhoven starlet Zakaria Bakkali introduced himself to the Eredivisie in style by scoring a brilliant hat-trick on just his second ever appearance in the Dutch top flight.
Three days after opening his account for PSV in a Champions League qualifier against Zulte Waregem, the 17-year-old stole the show again as NEC Nijmegen were dispatched 5-0 at the Philips Stadion.
It took just six minutes for Bakkali to open the scoring by blasting under the crossbar from the left edge of the six-yard box.
Just two minutes after the break, the Belgian winger cut in from the right to curl home a second with his left foot.
Captain Georginio Wijnaldum, who at 22 was the oldest PSV player on the field on Saturday, added a brace with goals in the 61st and 75th minutes.
The evening belonged to Bakkali, however, and he deservedly completed a memorable hat-trick with a stunning goal eight minutes from time.
Bakkali tricked his way infield from the left before unleashing an astonishing curling shot from the edge of the penalty area that went right into the top corner.
"Bakkali has made much progress," said PSV coach Phillip Cocu at the post-match conference.
"He shows great individual skills but he is also a genuine team player, who never shirks his defensive duties. Like always, he has given his all and after his stunning strike I took him off."
