A stunning Steve Sidwell strike could not prevent Fulham from falling to a 2-1 friendly defeat against Serie A side Parma at Craven Cottage on Saturday.
The home side got off to the best possible start when Sidwell put them ahead on the ten minute mark.
The midfielder turned a tackle in the middle of the pitch and ran forward to around 35 yards out before unleashing a fierce strike that flew past goalkeeper Antonio Mirante and into the top corner.
Parma were level four minutes before the hour-mark when Antonio Cassano hung his cross in the air and Gabriel Paletta rose highest to head home.
And substitute Nicola Sansone completed the comeback for the Italians with five minutes remaining with a back-post header.
