Someone in the Spain squad left a cheeky message on the match ball Thiago Alcántara took home from the victory over Italy in the European U-21 Championship final.
The Barcelona midfielder netted a perfect hat-trick as the Spaniards retained their European Championship title with a 4-2 victory over Italy in Israel on Tuesday.
Afterwards, Thiago was awarded the match ball and duly asked all his teammates to write a message for him, with one of whom scribing "Nos Vemos en Manchester", which translates as "See you in Manchester".
The note was discovered when Thiago carried the ball through to the airport on the flight home.
The most obvious explanation, of course, is that it was written by goalkeeper David de Gea of Manchester United, who have been heavily linked with a move for Thiago in recent weeks.
It has also been suggested that it could have been written by Isco, who could be about to follow Manuel Pellegrini from Málaga to Manchester City.
