Valerio Arrichiello, a video reporter for local newspaper Il Secolo XIX, was attempting to question Preziosi on rumors regarding a potential sale of the club.

Becoming increasingly annoyed with the reporter, Preziosi approached his inquisitor before kicking him in the shins, taking his camera and hurling it to the floor.

Preziosi has since had second thoughts about his actions, but admitted he would do it again.

The 65-year-old told TGCom: "I removed a camera that was position in an improper fashion.

"I already apologized and said I'll pay for the camera. However, it's not right to ambush people. My reaction might be criticized, but the violence I suffered was worse.

"I will not accept someone filming me in secret and then ambushing me. In that context, I would indeed do it again."
