Son Heung-Min's spectacular left-foot strike inspired Hamburg to a memorable 4-1 victory against Borussia Dortmund in a hard-fought encounter at Signal Iduna Park.

The hosts opened the scoring through Robert Lewandowski on 17 minutes, but a swift equaliser from Artjoms Rudņevs set the tone for a pulsating encounter.

And the visiting side took the lead in the 26th minute with an impressive goal from Son.

After shimmying past the stranded Mats Hummels, Son cut in from the right before curling a wonderful shot past the flying Roman Weidenfeller and into the net via the left hand upright.

In a game full of incidents, Lewandowski was shown the red card in the first half while Hamburg's Jeffrey Bruma was given the marching orders after the interval.

But Hamburg continued to take the game to the Bundesliga champions in their own back yard, scoring further goals through Rudņevs and Son.
