Snow plunges through Amsterdam ArenA roof
Table of Contents
Snow halted play when Ajax Amsterdam took on rivals Feyenoord Rotterdam on Sunday - which is pretty impressive when you consider the Amsterdam ArenA has a roof.
The heavy snow has been a major disturbance on the continent, but the big game in the Eredivisie looked to have got away unscathed by the weather with Ajax taking a 3-0 lead into the closing stages.
However, with 87 minutes on the clock and the hosts about to take a corner, snow started to fall onto spectators and the substitutes bench.
Play was delayed briefly as players watched on in shock before the referee restarted the match to play out the final few minutes.
