Goal of the day: Neymar (Santos) vs Figueirense
Table of Contents
Neymar scored a sensational goal to help Santos to a 3-1 win at Figueirense, just 24 hours after appearing for Brazil during their 3-0 win at Sweden on Wednesday.
The spikey-haired forward played 82 minutes at Stockholm on Wednesday night and was then immediately rushed back to his homeland in a bid to help Santos revive their Brazilian championship fortunes.
Both teams had a player sent off in the first half at the Orlando Scarpelli, with Santos losing Junior Juan in the 11th minute and Túlio seeing red for the hosts five minutes before half-time.
Rodrigão then gave Figueirense the lead in the 49th minute after heading home from Aloísio's cross.
Figueirense were only ahead for three minutes though as Santos restored parity through none other than Neymar.
The 20-year-old beat two men before bending the ball into the top right corner to score his third goal in just his fourth league appearance this season.
Santos then got themselves in front through Bruno Peres' 76th minute strike before Neymar selflessly laid the ball off for Ganso to score the third.
