Defending champions Manchester United ran out 5-0 winners over the 10-man Wigan Athletic to move level on points at the top of the Premier League with rivals Manchester City.
The Red Devils took the lead in the eighth minute when Park Ji-Sung placed the ball into the net after being picked out by Patrice Evra.
United's task was made much easier on 39 minutes when Conor Sammon was sent off after catching Michael Carrick in the face, even though replays suggested it was a harsh decision.
Dimitar Berbatov held off Antolín Alcaraz to make it 2-0 in the 41st minute before a fine turn from saw him notch United's third just before the hour mark.
Antonio Valencia's powerful strike on 75 minutes left Wigan 4-0 down and Berbatov finished off his hat-trick from the penalty spot three minutes later after Park had been brought down by Alcaraz.
