AS Roma finished with just eight men on the pitch as they were defeated 3-0 by Fiorentina in an incredible match at the Stadio Artemio Franchi.
Brazilian defender Juan was the first to receive his marching orders following a foul in the area after 16 minutes, with the resultant penalty tucked away by Stevan Jovetić.
Alessandro Gamberini doubled the hosts' lead just before half-time before Fernando Gago picked up his second yellow card in the 76th minute to leave the visitors with only nine men for the last 15 minutes.
Things went from bad to worse for Roma less than 10 minutes later when Bojan Krkić was shown a straight red for handling the ball in the area and substitute Santiago Silva duly converted the resulting penalty to cap a convincing performance for the Viola.
