Frank Lampard scored a hat-trick as Chelsea thrashed rock-bottom Bolton Wanderers 5-1 at the Reebok Stadium.
The hosts found themselves a goal down within the first minute of the match as Daniel Sturridge rose unmarked to head home a Juan Mata corner past stand-in Bolton keeper Ádám Bogdán.
Lampard doubled the lead on the quarter-hour mark before two goals in two minutes from Sturridge and Lampard saw the game effectively end as a contest.
Dedryck Boyata pulled one back for Bolton just after the break but Lampard completed a deserved treble on the hour to seal an emphatic win.
