Real Madrid playmaker Mesut Özil is confident the new squad built by José Mourinho is now ready to overtake Barcelona as the top team in Spain once again.
The Germany international's first season at the Bernabéu saw his club be completely handled by Barcelona as they won the Champions League and La Liga while Los Blancos were only able to clinch the Copa del Rey.
He told kicker magazine: "Real Madrid have made a lot of signings in the last couple of years, but you can now tell we understand each other on the pitch.
"We are much stronger. We've taken a step further compared to the previous campaign. I want to win every title.
"We would have liked to win the Spanish Super Cup, but what matters is we can compete at a really high level.
"It will be very interesting to watch Real Madrid play in La Liga, the Champions League and the Copa del Rey this year. We want to win all three titles and I'm sure we can do it."
The 22-year-old feels he is also improving on a personal level and is hungry for success with the Spanish giants.
Özil added: "I'm in very good form and feel more prepared than ever before.
"The pre-season stages in China and the US were tough and beautiful. I had learned a lot at Schalke and Bremen, but it's a completely different ball game outside Germany.
"I'm very happy with how things have turned out for me. I feel great at Real Madrid and, obviously, for playing on this team."

But Özil, who joined Madrid from Werder Bremen last season, believes the squad have made significant improvements over the current summer, bringing in the likes of José Callejón, Hamit Altıntop, Nuri Şahin, Raphaël Varane and Fábio Coentrão.
