Sergio Agüero scored a hat-trick as Manchester City maintained their perfect start to the season with an impressive 3-0 victory over Wigan Athletic at the Etihad Stadium.
City broke the deadlock after only 13 minutes when David Silva, in irresistible form, played in Agüero after a fine bit of skill and the Argentine drilled home.
Want-away striker Carlos Tévez was given the chance to make it two from the penalty spot less than five minutes later but tamely scuffed his effort into the arms of Ali Al-Habsi.
Agüero increased the lead in the 63rd minute and his first Premier League hat-trick six minutes later wrapped up the victory to leave Roberto Mancini's men with 15 goals in their opening four games.
