Sergio Agüero: Don't go, Carlos!
Table of Contents
Sergio Agüero has pleaded with want-away countryman Carlos Tévez to stay at Manchester City and form a destructive partnership at domestic and international level.
City were rocked earlier this summer when their talismanic striker revealed that he was looking to get away from Eastlands to move closer to his family in Argentina.
With City refusing to budge on the Inter Milan and Corinthians target's £50 million asking fee, Tévez is increasingly unlikely to depart before the transfer window slams shut on Wednesday night.
Now Agüero has urged his fellow Argentine to stay with him at City and help the Citizens launch an assault on the Premier League and Champions League titles.
Agüero told Sky Sports News: "We have spent a lot of time together and we talk about everything.
"I know he is a bit frustrated but, as we all know, it is up to the coach to decide who plays and who doesn't.
"I'm sure we will both have a chance here at City and with Argentina.
"I hope he stays and we get to play many games together. But it is up to Roberto Mancini to make that decision."
