Samir Nasri has revealed he snubbed the chance to be part of Leonardo's Paris St Germain revolution to join Manchester City.
The France international left Arsenal for Roberto Mancini's ambitious City earlier this month for a transfer fee of £24 million after a lengthy transfer saga.
Former Inter Milan boss Leonardo, now PSG's sporting director, was also keen on Nasri but a switch failed to materialise.
Speaking to Téléfoot, Nasri said: "I spoke with Leonardo. He already wanted me at Inter.
"However, the situation was a bit more complicated at Paris Saint-Germain. They had already signed Javier Pastore, while I had announced my intention to join Manchester City.
"It was thus a bit difficult for PSG to find funds to invest and be able to sign me."
