Atlético Madrid have finally sold Diego Forlán to Inter Milan, with Brazil playmaker Diego going from VfL Wolfsburg on loan.
Forlán has joined the Nerazzurri on a two-year deal to replace Samuel Eto'o following his sale to Russian outfit Anzhi Makhachkala last week.
"It is an important moment. I'm ready, mature and have the right experience," the Uruguay striker told Inter Channel.
"I want to play wherever the coach asks me to. Of course I'm willing to sacrifice myself for the team the way Eto'o did."
Meanwhile, Atlético have agreed to take 26-year-old Brazilian schemer Diego on loan from Wolfsburg.
Diego joined Wolfsburg for €15 million last year but was told in May he had no future with the Bundesliga club.
Wolfsburg coach Felix Magath told the club's website: "I'm convinced that Diego will play a key role in Madrid. I wish him all the best."
