Diego Forlán certain to leave Atlético Madrid, says father

Diego Forlán's father believes his son's departure is inevitable because he feels "unhappy" at Atlético Madrid.
The Uruguayan hitman is unsettled at the Vicente Calderón and has been targeted by Inter Milan as the ideal replacement for Samuel Eto'o, who reportedly has already agreed a €29 million move to Russian club Anzhi Makhachkala.
And Forlán Snr, Pablo, told radio station AM Libre that talks were already in place and they were only waiting for Eto'o to complete his sale.
Pablo, himself an ex-professional footballer who represented Uruguay at the 1974 World Cup finals, said: "Diego is unhappy at Atlético Madrid, for whom he has given everything and has been professional, although he has not been treated the same way.
"I will defend him to the full, but I think the fans are wrong if they feel he has had the wrong attitude towards them. He has given more than he has received.
"I hope Diego joins Inter and his agent is negotiating in Milan and Diego is anxious for things to be resolved.
"But as we all know, any move is part of a triangle and if Samuel Eto'o leaves Inter then it's almost certain my son will sign for them."
Forlán's father added that although the World Cup 2010 Golden Boot winner does not go to Inter he will not continue his career with Los Rojiblancos.
"If my son does not go to Inter then it will be another club," he continued.
"I don't know which one, but I am certain he will not stay with Atlético because his time there has come to an end even though he is still under contract."
