Argentina legend Diego Maradona already has a religion devoted to him and now there is a campaign to get his face on the country's 10 peso bill.
"Diego" has already entered Argentinian slang as another word for 10 pesos and more than 18,000 have joined a Facebook group entitled Para que UN DIEGO sea UN DIEGO - which translate to "let the Diego be Diego".
While Belgrano may have lead Argentina's fight for independence and created the country's flag, he didn't almost single-handedly winning the World Cup for a football-mad country.
El Diego's campaigners have even created a mock-up of what the 10 peso bill would look like, with an iconic image from the 1986 World Cup triumph.
Maradona himself has so far declined to comment on the campaign.
