Italy midfielder Andrea Pirlo joined Juventus on Tuesday on a free transfer after opting against renewing his contract with AC Milan.
Having served the Rossoneri for almost a decade, the 32-year-old preferred not to prolong his stay at the San Siro after Milan were unable to offer him more than a one year contract extension.
At his unveiling, Pirlo said: "I chose Juve because among Milan and Inter Milan, it is the most important club in Italy, in Europe and in the world.
"They want to return to winning titles as they have not done that in a few years.
"I am someone who likes to win and I think that this team has the biggest will and motivation to return to lift titles.
"This is why I chose Juve."
Pirlo's signing could impact on whether Juve choose to sign midfielder Alberto Aquilani, who spent the season at the club on loan from Liverpool, on a permanent deal.
