Andrea Pirlo could walk away from AC Milan

AC Milan playmaker Andrea Pirlo may very well be leaving after 10 years at the San Siro after the Italy international was declared surplus to requirements.
The 31-year-old has barely featured this term due to injuries, but his contract expires in June and it does not look as he will be offered an extension.
It is widely expected that Pirlo will join Juventus on a free transfer, ending his 10-year stay at San Siro.
"(Coach) Massimiliano Allegri wants a player with more defensive characteristics compared to Andrea when sitting in front of the defence," said assistant coach Mauro Tassotti during the Scudetto celebrations.
"We wanted to see how he could do in a wider role, but then Andrea started to have injury problems that kept him off the field for many months.
"I don't know if we'll take different paths now, as that is a problem we'll have to wait and see about."
When asked whether this would be his final celebration with the Rossoneri, Pirlo said: "I don't know what will happen. We'll see if I'm at Milan next season."
