Sebastian Giovinco put the home team ahead 10 minutes before the interval when he pounced on Francesco Modesto's cut-back pass with a blistering left-footed strike that found the far corner.
The visitors could not equalise past Parma custodian Antonio Mirante and Amauri landed the killer blow with a goal five minutes from time.
