The 28-year-old has struggled to live up to expectations in Real Madrid since his £62 million move in 2009 and his future under José Mourinho remains in question.

Speaking after Milan's 3-0 win over Napoli on Monday, Kaká's father Bosco Leite appeared to encourage the Rossoneri to make a bid for his son.

Galliani did not outright reject the possiblity of the fan favourite swapping Madrid for Milan in the summer but conceded that his prospective return would be too expensive.

He told reporters: "Ricardino earns too much also because they pay less tax.

"I am sorry that he is having problems in Madrid, but he'd have to reduce his salary a lot to return to Milan.

"We can allow ourselves the salary of only one (Zlatan) Ibrahimović."
