Rafa Benítez on verge of Inter exit?

Rafa Benítez's ill-fated stint at Inter Milan appears to be drawing to a close with his agent confirming talks were ongoing to terminate his contract.
It was widely reported earlier this week that Benítez had lost his job after he issued a "sack me or back me" ultimatum in the aftermath of the Club World Cup triumph on Saturday.
Inter president Massimo Moratti denied reports that Benítez had been sacked, while admitting the whole situation was "a mess".
Reports in the Italian press have suggested that Inter are looking to slash the Spaniard's compensation payment before they fire him.
Benítez is currently on holiday in Liverpool, with the Italian season now in its winter break, and his representative, Manuel Garcia Quilon, has revealed talks are ongoing with Inter to try and thrash out a resolution.
Quilon met with Inter vice president Rinaldo Ghelfi and technical director Marco Branca, as well as the club lawyer Angelo Capellini on Wednesday night
"We are talking about it, but I cannot say anything more," Garcia Quilon told Sky Italia.
"We are neither optimistic nor pessimistic. We will meet again to talk more."
In the meantime, former AC Milan coach Leonardo is the favourite to replace Benítez at Inter.
