Sampdoria keen to offload Antonio Cassano ASAP

Sampdoria president Riccardo Garrone believes Antonio Cassano's uncouth ways have no place in the club, and he wants him out as soon as possible.
Cassano, whose contract runs until June 2013, has been frozen out of Sampdoria's team ever since he behaved disrespectfully towards Garrone at the end of last month.
And the Genoa outfit have filed a request to the Lega Calcio to rescind the player's contract for "insubordination".
"I hope that he finds a solution that is adequate to his talent. If the rescission happens, it's his fault," Garrone told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
"I hope that sooner of later the media interest in this event decreases. It can also create problems for him. Cassano is an extraordinary player, who no longer had Cassanate, but this was too big.
"He has a sensibility, which is a little primitive. He shouldn't forget that until the age of 14 he was part of a herd. Then he became rich through football and it was a shock."
Garrone felt that he had no other option than to cut ties with the Italy international because he had argued with him in front of the other players.
He added: "If he had said those things face-to-face, I would have given him four punches and it would have ended there."
