Gareth Bale: I ain't no Ryan Giggs

Tottenham Hotspur winger Gareth Bale doesn't want to be compared with Manchester United veteran Ryan Giggs.
The 21-year-old has become one of the most talked about players on the planet following his virtuoso performances for Spurs recently - most notably against European champions Inter Milan in the Champions League.
But, though a huge admirer of the Welsh legend, he is quick to point out he is his own man.
Bale told The Daily Mirror: "It's true that I always used to watch Ryan when I was younger – being Welsh and left-footed.
"He was someone I always used to look out for and used to watch when he played for Wales. Ryan's one of the best players playing in the Premier League.
"But I don't want to be thought of as 'the new Ryan Giggs'. I want to be thought of as my own person.
"He's a great man and a great player, but everyone wants to be thought of as their own man and their own player."

Unassuming, modest and Welsh, the former Southampton player has been inevitably pigeonholed by many as "the new Ryan Giggs".
