Juventus playmaker Diego signed a four-year deal with VfL Wolfsburg on Thursday night as he returns to the Bundesliga after just one season in Serie A.
The player passed a medical at Wolfsburg on Wednesday and could make his second Bundesliga debut when Die Wölfe host Mainz on Saturday.
"Juventus announce that an agreement has been finalised with Wolfsburg for the sale of Diego for €15.5 million," a Juve statement said.
Diego left Bundesliga rivals Werder Bremen for the Italian giants a year ago, but despite being regarded as one of the finest players in the German league, he failed to live up to expectations in Italy following a €24.5 million move.
The 25-year-old played for Bremen for three years, scoring 38 goals in 84 appearances and inspiring them to the UEFA Cup final and DFB-Pokal crown in 2009.
