Sami Khedira next on José Mourinho's wish list

Real Madrid boss José Mourinho has confirmed he would like to sign Germany and VfB Stuttgart midfielder Sami Khedira this summer.
The 23-year-old exploded on to the world scene with a string of impressive performances during the World Cup in South Africa where Germany finished third after losing to eventual winners Spain in the semi-final.
Khedira is believed to have a €10 million buy-out clause on his head, which certainly wouldn't stretch Real's purse.
"We're not going to be kings of the transfer market. I'll bet on the usual philosophy of Madrid, signing players with projection, with more room for learning," Mourinho is quoted as saying by AS.
"We signed (Ángel) di María, who it's true that he was expensive (€25 million), but he has great potential, and we go for Khedira, with a huge room for improvement.
"It is a market direction that I love," the Special One is quoted as saying by AS.
"We need a defender and a midfielder, but with balance and without dramatics. It is complicated, because when Madrid is interested in a player prices soar so astronomically."
With Khedira's contract due to expire next year, Stuttgart would have to sell the player now rather that risk losing him for nothing next season.
