Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp insists he will not be in the running to sign departing Real Madrid icon Raúl González.
Record-breaking striker Raúl is leaving the Spanish giants after 16 years and has been linked with a move to the White Hart Lane.
However, Redknapp admits a deal for Raúl, who looks set to join German side Schalke, is simply not an option due to the wages he would demand.
He told Sky Sports News: "Raúl is a great player at Real Madrid, but I wouldn't think he would be a player we would bring to Tottenham.
"Financially, I don't think it would be possible to do a deal like that."
