Werder Bremen sporting director Klaus Allofs has confirmed that FC Twente attacker Marko Arnautović has penned a four-year deal with the Bundesliga side.
The 21-year-old spent last season on loan with Inter Milan but failed to impress the treble winners during his stay, playing only in three Serie A games for the Nerazzurri.
With Inter choosing against signing him permanently, Bremen have swooped to land the Austria international for an undisclosed fee.
Allofs said: "We are delighted to have reached an agreement in our negotiations with Twente.
"Marko Arnautović has a lot of potential. We expect him to play a major role in our team."
Arnautović added: "Werder is renowned for its successful work with young players.
"I can see a great chance to take the next step in my career here. I cannot wait for training to start in a month."
Arnautović, who is of Serbian ancestry via his father, will link up with his new team-mates at the start of pre-season training on July 5.
