Former England manager Steve McClaren has been appointed as the new coach of VfL Wolfsburg after deciding to leave FC Twente.
The 49-year-old, who led Twente to the Eredivisie title this season, has signed a two-year deal with the 2009 Bundesliga winners.
"I have had two fantastic years at FC Twente, but made a promise to my wife and children (who remain in England) that I would not spend more than two years living away from them," said McClaren.
"Now we will all live together in Germany."
McClaren will be the first Englishman to take charge of a Bundesliga club when his contract begins on July 1.
