Veteran AC Milan striker Filippo Inzaghi has signed with the club for a further season after agreeing a one-year deal with the club.
Uncertainty surrounded Inzaghi's future as his old deal expired in June, and he was linked with a return to Parma where he would have teamed up with life-long friend Tommaso Ghirardi.
However, the 36-year-old can look forward to another season in Milan after committing until the end of June 2011.
A statement on the club's official website read: "AC Milan would like to communicate that the footballer Filippo Inzaghi has extended his contract until June 30, 2011."
His extended stay comes despite a poor season by the former Italy international's high standards, with the striker netting just twice in 24 Serie A appearances and the World Cup winner losing his starting place to Marco Borriello.
