AS Roma midfielder Daniele De Rossi has revealed that he would be prepared to head for Real Madrid should the Giallorossi decide to sell him.
The 26-year-old Italy international has been linked with the Spanish giants before.
Last summer, Real were keen to acquire De Rossi's services but Roma opted to keep the player, who is contracted until June 2012.
The Italian press believe Real are back in the race to sign De Rossi, one of the players José Mourinho wants to take with him to Madrid if the Portuguese manager completes his expected move to Spain.
It is claimed that the Special One is an admirer of De Rossi's combative talents and will make securing his signature a priority upon his arrival in the Bernabéu.
De Rossi, who is currently training with Italy in preparation for next month's World Cup, said: "If the club were to say to me that there is an economic necessity or even a technical one, I would leave.
"However, until they chase me away, I will stay here. If an offer were to arrive that the club couldn't refuse, it wouldn't be a sacrifice for me or a gesture of love to go to Real Madrid.
"If I had the fortune of having several offers, there would be nothing to choose from when faced with Real Madrid. I would never go to another club in Italy.
"Going abroad would be an important experience. But I repeat that I have eternal ties to my team, my daughter and my family."
