David Villa, Barcelona's new superstar signing, was unveiled to the public at the Camp Nou on Friday evening.
The 28-year-old put pen to paper on a four-year contract with the option for a further season and a buy-out clause of €200 million after comfortably passing the medical exam conducted by club doctors.
"He signed the contract that will keep him at the club for the next four seasons with an option for another."
And the former Valencia hitman could not contain his happiness.
He said: "I'm very happy and proud to be here.
"Anybody would be happy to come to a club like this - as everybody says, this is the best team in the world."
Asked what he will bring to the team, Villa replied: "Hard work, humility and a desire to try to help the team be a little better. I'm really keen to get started here."
