OFFICIAL: Sergio Canales signs for Real Madrid

Real Madrid have announced that highly-rated teenager Sergio Canales will join the club from Racing Santander at the end of the season.
The 18-year-old midfielder signed a six-year contract with the Spanish giants after rejecting offers from many other major Europeam clubs.
A club statement read: "Real Madrid C.F. and Racing de Santander have reached an agreement for the transfer of the player Sergio Canales Madrazo.
"The contract, which will link the player to Real Madrid CF over the next six seasons, will enter into force from 1 July 2010."
Real did not disclose financial terms of the deal, which begins July 1, but Spanish media reports that the deal is worth €5 million and Canales will join up with Los Blancos for pre-season training before returning to Racing where he will spend next season on loan.
However, if Real are suitably impressed with the midfielder during pre-season training, they have the option to cancel the loan agreement in return for an additional fee.
