Gennaro Gattuso has fulfilled his dream of opening a fish shop in Gallarate, a city in the province of Varese where the AC Milan midfielder has been living for the past eight years.
The Monday event itself became a social act thanks to the presence of team-mates David Beckham and Ronaldinho.
Measuring approximately 800 square meters, the Gattuso & Bianchi, named also after his friend confectioner Andrea Bianchi, is located in Via Bettolino 17 at the center of Gallarate.
"Someone might even smile at it, but this fish store is a dream come true for me," said Gattuso, who came from the southern region of Calabria.
"I wanted to become a fisherman when I was a child, but life’s events have later driven me in different directions."
