Bayern Munich have rejected claims a deal has already been struck with Real Madrid for the sale of Franck Ribéry in the summer.
Speculation regarding Ribéry's future is nothing new but the transfer talk took another twist on Wednesday when German website www.ran.de revealed that a deal had long since been agreed between the two clubs.
According to the website, Bayern did not pay Real the agreed €25-million price tag for Dutch winger Arjen Robben, instead sitting on the cash in anticipation of the Ribéry deal.
But Bayern president Uli Hoeneß has laughed off the report and insisted nothing has been agreed with the Spanish giants.
He told the Suddeutsche Zeitung newspaper: "There is no agreement at all with Real.
"There have been no offers, no options and no negotiations about or with Ribery.
"We have paid for Robben as is usual practice."
