Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Čech visited former team-mate Carlo Cudicini in hospital Thursday and confirmed that the Tottenham Hotspur player is "doing well".
Cudicini was rushed to hospital on Thursday after suffering injuries in a road accident, sustaining broken wrists and an injury to his pelvis.
"It is very sad but sometimes life brings unfortunate situations," Čech told www.chelseafc.com.
"I went and saw Carlo yesterday in the hospital. He has always been a great character and you can see he is coping well with it. He is doing well and he will undergo some operations today to help him to be as fit as possible.
"I think that everybody should keep fingers crossed for him to get well soon."
Čech suffered a fractured skull after a collision with Reading's Stephen Hunt three years ago.
The Czech Republic star needed emergency surgery and was warned if he returned to action too early he could die if involved in another collision.
