Diego Forlán extends Atlético Madrid contract

Atlético Madrid announced on Friday that Uruguayan striker Diego Forlán has put pen to paper on a new contract with Los Colchoneros.
According to reports in Spanish newspapers AS and Marca, the 30-year-old has signed a two-year contract extension to tie him to the club until 2013.
Forlán was top scorer in the La Liga last season, something that he had achieved in 2005 when playing for Villarreal.
