Cassano: Moving to Real Madrid was a mistake

Sampdoria star Antonio Cassano has now admitted that he should have never gone to Real Madrid three years ago.
Fantantonio joined Los Merengues from AS Roma for a transfer fee of €5.5 million, but he never established a place in the first-team.
"The strongest team in the world called me. I had to go to Real Madrid," Cassano told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
"Sure, in hindsight it was a mistake, because what followed was a year out of the team, but it strengthened my spirit. I understood many things.
"In that period I did a lot of stupid things, which, looking back, I would pay not to repeat.
"Nevertheless, as Califano sang, when you go to play for Real Madrid, with all respect to the other clubs, 'everything else is boring'."
