Real Madrid winger Arjen Robben has almost completed a switch to Bayern Munich, according to reports in both the Spanish and German media on Thursday.
Real president Florentino Pérez has announced the deal in an interview on Spanish radio station Onda Cero, but Bayern will not confirm the deal until the player has signed.
Bayern spokesman Markus Hoerwich said: "Transfers to Bayern Munich are only confirmed by us and we announce things only after we have done our homework."
The 25-year-old Robben looks set to struggle for first team football in Madrid after the influx of new stars at the Bernabéu over the summer.
While it is also speculated that the transfer will pave the way for the Spanish giants to snap up Franck Ribéry from the Allianz Arena next summer.
