Brazilian midfielder Zé Roberto has joined Hamburg on a free transfer from Bayern Munich.
The 34-year-old has put pen to paper on a deal which will expire on June 30th 2011.
Zé Roberto was a free agent after turning down Bayern's offer of a one-year extension to his contract there.
He played for the Bavarians between 2002-06 and again between 2007-09, winning four Bundesliga titles and four German Cups.
"He is a technically gifted player with vast experience," Hamburg coach Bruno Labbadia told the club's website, www.hsv.de.
"Zé has proven his class at both club and international level for many years."
