Pavel Nedvěd has explained why he won’t play for Juventus’ bitter rivals Inter Milan, but hints he could extend his career abroad.
The midfielder’s contract with Juve expired and he had been due to retire, but was considering a two-year contract from the Nerazzurri - a move that infuriated fans from both clubs due to the intense rivalry between them.
"I have decided to stop, at least in Italy," Nedvěd told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
"I thank the people and the clubs who expressed an interest, showed faith in me and were ready to let me play for another year.
"I just can’t wear a different shirt than the one I have fought for during these years."
