AC Milan have confirmed the deal for Sevilla striker Luís Fabiano is "off for now".
The Serie A giants had been chasing the Brazil international for some time following the sale of Kaká to Real Madrid.
Milan made a €14 million offer for Fabiano earlier this month, but it was rejected by the Spanish club who are holding out for at least €20 million.
"Luís Fabiano won't arrive in Milan. The deal is off for now," club lawyer Leandro Cantamessa told reporters outside the Lega Calcio headquarters.
"But I don’t know what Milan’s budget is in the transfer market, I am just a scribe."
